Flat Pack Royal Navy Advert New Party
Flat Pack
Went to Ikea over the weekend browsing for a shelving unit, I narrowed it down to a couple of units, but I needed some advice about which one would fit in my car, so I hunted down the Flat Pack Assistant, I couldn’t believe it when I had to assemble him myself before I could ask him a question, on top of that nobody had a bloody phillips screwdriver or a 4mm Allen key.
Isn’t shopping stressful.
Royal Navy Advert
Have you seen the Royal navy Recruitment advert on the Telly.
Well it has been worrying me a bit.
You know the advert where :-
- If you can fix a Lynx Helicopter
- If you can fix a Pacific type 24 Sea Boat
- If you can fix a four and a half inch Naval Gun
- If you can fix Samsung Radar System
- If you can fix a type 45 Destroyer
When you can do all that you will be a Royal Navy Engineer.
The problem I have with this advert is why does everything keep breaking down?.
Could I offer three possible reasons
- The equipment is dated and has become unreliable.
- There is a supply chain problem due to defence budget cuts.
- There is a lack of preventative maintenance.
If the problem is identified and rectified, then I am sure it would save the Royal Navy quite a lot of money in the future, because they would not need all these extra recruits to keep patching up faulty equipment, and also they would have no more need of monotonous adverts on the television, so it would be a win win situation for everybody.
New Party
While I was writing this I had the television on in the background I glanced across to see the BBC showing the pits of the Ferrari team at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
A thought crossed my mind, the elections are coming up soon, and if Team Ferrari put themselves up to run the country, they would definitely get my vote, the reason being they look after their tyres far better than the Government look after the needy of this country.
