Politicians pay a story of Poverty at the Top

Politicians pay
Is this the home of the poorly paid?

Is Politicians Pay Enough

In the news this week it has been revealed that MP’s need to take on a second job just to keep their heads above water, due to the fact that a politicians pay is not enough for the basic essentials.
One MP being interviewed on a news channel said, 67k basic may seem a lot, but compared to similar professions it is near the bottom of the payscale.
I think its appalling that these public servants are expected to perform for up to 4 hours per day and then have to top up their wage for the rest of the day by doing consultation work or other non productive jobs for an average of only 5k per afternoon in order to just survive.

Some have even had to resort to claiming for things that the normal working man doesn’t such as second homes new TVs, garden furniture, redecorating, carpets, servants, etc. I can’t believe in this current society, these people are being forced to live in this way, it is just inhumane and undignified.
A Manchester Pensioner, Miss Ethel Bedsore said ”I am sure a charity could be set up to help these poor unfortunates who are going through such hard times, it just isn’t fair”

A local unemployed youth Sandy Bell commented ” I would never have believed politicians pay would have been  at the level it is, it makes me wonder if I should even bother trying to get a job if this is how hard work rewards you”
Well it just goes to show, you can find injustice in the most unlikely of places.
